Right..but I think they're all slower this year.

Besides I was laughing because when I put mine up, ya'll's will disappear. You know I hog all the hummingbirds in Southern Maryland.
I have all your bluejays.

Great reminder to put my feeder out. This should be a good weekend to start seeing them, supposed to be very nice.

It's hard to pick a favorite as I love to sit and watch all the birds.

I have many goldfinch and house finches, along with titmouse, woodpeckers, Carolina wrens, cardinals, blue jays, blue birds, mourning doves, sparrows, nuthatches, chickadees, robins, plus a hawk & an owl. Once in a while I'll see water birds flying over the house with fish in their feet flying back to their nests.

I know the hawk and the owl are here to feed on the other ones or rodents, but they are a sight to see.

I have a bird in a tree, that makes a sound like "boink, boink" noise, but it sounds just like a water dripping from a faucet into a bowl of water... what bird makes that noise?

It's a little bird..maybe a sparrow..it escapes me right now but I know the exact sound she's talking about. When I looked out at the bird, it was a small one.

I don't know because its in a bushy tree, I hear it when I go out and fill the feeders, I hear the other birds chirping and this drip drip noise but has the rythem of a boink boink sound --- it doesn't sound like the other birds at all.. not chirpy, or tweety or anything

So far its sounding like the cowbird song from one track I could barely hear... I'm not cranking up the speakers so everyone can hear 1,001 bird sounds come from my desk. But so far from the little bit I could barely hear, that may be the bird  http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Brown-headed_Cowbird.html They've been hanging around the yard A LOT with the grackles. I left the feeders empty a few days as someone instructed and they still came back :faint: I think this is close in sound but mine sound moer like a water drip with the boink boink kind of phrasing

Every time I play one of those calls Bear starts barking.

 When he gets bored of that one... here's a slew of em' to choose from  http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/ - what I need is a wavefile for a doorbell. River Rat's adopted dog Peanut's ears perk up for that sound (especially the one on dominoes commericials) she used to run to the door barking... now her ears perk up and that's it ... I would love to have fun with her and get wav file of a doorbell  The funny thing is River doesn't have any doorbells... so I know it was from a previous home. Think this is being mean or just good fun  Hope its not mean or anything, I think its the funniest thing

Hey, I might even come to like the cowbird after all... she's the closest bird to being a democrat...

The Brown-headed Cowbird is the only brood parasite common across North America. A female cowbird makes no nest of her own, but instead lays her eggs in the nests of other bird species, who then raise the young cowbirds

A thought dawned on me this morning, do you think the other Momma birds know its not their eggs in the nest when it hatches, then gets irratated at the cowbird? I can just see the cowbird flying around to all the nests now... one for you... one for you.. one for you... What about hatching time.. how does she time laying her eggs in a nest so that they hatch at approximately the same time as the other eggs in the nest will hatch  I've been thinking about this WAAAAYYY too much this morning
