I can't get any, I live too close to Catt :frown:

I haven't seen any yet, put the feeder out last week also. After a week, the bottle is looking a litltle cloudy, so I'm going to have to change it out today. They should be here soon. :yay:

Think we'll put ours out this weekend. Most of the birds, bugs, and some butterflys are back. Still haven't seen any Finches yet. I love Spring!!! Oh, and we've been seeing Honey Bees!!! :yahoo:

I put up one this weekend. When they return there aren't too many at first and then they leave in May ... mating ... and then come back full force in the middle of June or so.

I've had finches all winter but now they're summer color is coming in. They're beautiful! And there are tons of butterflies on the lilac bush.

If anyone is paying attention the humming birds are back!!!! yippee!!!! I think its just males, I noticed the other day the feeder started to drop a little in quantity thought maybe a rogue flying squirrel was drinking on it but im guessing its been the humming birds cuz they are fighting already...i have four feeders up and they still fight over one lol oh well its always fun to see them back!!!

Just saw our first (confirmed) one today--female. Maybe had visitors during the day this past week or so, but hadn't noticed after coming home from work. It's about time! :buddies:

I finally saw my first one yesterday, though they may have been around sooner but I just hadn't seen them. It buzzed my head as I was watering some plants on the front porch to let me know in NO uncertain terms the feeder was EMPTY.

Does anyone know of a way to keep squirrels from drinking the hummingbird food? We had two with the raised bee guards and they damaged them and popped them out. Bought two with the flat pedal type of guards and they lasted one day. How do you hang feeders with squirrels around?

Dunno...the squirrels don't bother mine but the raccoons do. I have to take down every single feeder, every single night...seed feeders too...and lock them (yep, lock them) in metal trash cans.

Wow...so far we haven't gotten the raccoons but sure have some hyper squirrels after they finish downing two feeders full of sugar water in a matter of minutes.

I know some critters don't like the smell of "pine" cleaning solutions. I even tried putting little containers of it around...using rags soaked in it..nothing worked. I have one hummingbird feeder I'm able to hang off of the gutter that nothing gets to. They start feeding immediately at daybreak and on the weekends I don't get up until about 6 or so.

I heard you can mix cheyanne pepper in the dry bird food...the birds dont taste it but the squirrels and raccoons hate it
