That is about 70 miles north of the projected impact site as of 5PM today. Impact should be at 2PM on the 4th with probably about 12 to 18 hours of strong winds prior to impact. It looks like they are really going to feel it. They are in my prayers.

Yea - like I said, my dad is really furious with his mother for staying, but she is a very strong, independent women and you can give her your opinion all you want, she is still going to do what she wants. The rest of my family, except for those in the law enforcement, have left and are on their way up here.

Sharon, where is your daughter in all of this and meme? What is going on with you?

I think my cousin is the only one who has a house to go back to. The initial reports haven't been good. My aunt received word that her house is without a roof, my cousin has standing water all around her house and isn't sure IF they have any interior damage and we believe that my grandmother and her sisters homes are floating scrap metal. We have heard that the Rt. 1 bridge collapsed and Rt. 95 has a huge sinkhole. I guess we will know all the details in the next few days.

Sorry to hear that, but it is a good thing they evacuated so they are safe and sound. It's hard, but things can always be replaced - people can't.

Still waiting to hear back from my friends who live in Ft. Pierce but evacuated to the west coast. It looks like the Ft. Pierce area bore the brunt of fury of the storm.

Yes, I am grateful they did evacuate. Please keep us posted on how your friends are doing. It looks like a good bit of the area was hit hard. We have been waiting for my grandmother to make a phone call. Nobody has heard from her yet, but she did flee to a church to wait out the storm.

Greetings from Jacksonville. We're all fine down here, the storm missed us by a pretty good margin. We hads lots of rain and some strong wind gusts, but nothing too serious. There are lots of branches and a few trees knocked over. Lots of store owners will be buying new signs on Tuesday. And we lost our power about 6:00 PM last night and got it back about noon today. There are still some people out in Mandarin and Ortega without power, and lots of southern Middleburg is still out. The only power outages I've seen here on the westside are to the traffic lights.

The only major casualty that I saw was one of my wife's prized rose bushes snapped off and headed for Orange Park.

Hey Bruz, glad you are doing well.

We did find out that my grandmother and her sister's homes are all going to be ok. The water came up under the trailers, but they did not come off the foundation nor did the water come inside. My aunt's house is a total loss. The roof collapsed and the drywall and flooring inside is caving in.

I guess you are bracing yourself for the next one. :ohwell:
