This hurricane track for Ike DOES NOT look promising for us.
Who's ready for a big one?![]()
Yeah, I enjoy thunderstorms and the occasional tropical depression, but I don't want to lose my roof or anything. Nor do I want to have to evacuate with a 6 year old, an 80 pound dog and a cat.![]()
not looking forward to potential big storm with a not quite 3 yr old and a not quite 3 month old. especially given thgat the not quite 3yo has developed a fear of thunder since a tree fell on/next to the house in may.
Ok I'm confused. Your graphic shows it heading for Cuba. How is this not promising for us??This hurricane track for Ike DOES NOT look promising for us.

Some tend to think a hurricane anywhere in the Atlantic is a threat to us. Ike is looking more like a FL storm or maybe even another Gulf storm. If its northern turn starts before FL, that's when it's time to pay closer attention. Besides, trying to predict these things beyond 72 hours is a waste.Ok I'm confused. Last night on the weather channel they showed the mind patterns around Florida and said they will shoot it right up the coast. Then again, like you said, you can never predict these things too far in advance.
Tough to predict. Isabel was also supposed to hit Florida. The Weather Channel's been firm on this though, they believe it will turn and it will come up this way regardless of where it makes landfall.
Oh. It'll surely strenghten back up to a 4 or 5 when it hits the Gulf. So now, New Orleans, Tampa, Ft. Myers, Pensacola and Biloxi are under the gun again.
