Hope you're right. The path shows it coming straight at us with 80 mph winds, but a lot can change between now and Tuesday.

Well, speaking of crap. Latest advisory has the predicted track even farther south on impact..pretty much straight through Ocean City now.

Every update has it about 30-50 miles farther south than previous prediction. Be going right through Baltimore if this keeps up.

BTW, there may be other threads on 'Sandy' started elsewhere or after I started this one but this is the only one in the news section (which is where I searched for the subject). I try not to violate my own pet peeve (which is several threads on the same topic). :buddies:

Believing the weather reports a week in advance is like believing the presidential polls. :duh:

Of course be prepared but don't start a milk, eggs & toilet paper panic until you hear the reports closer to Sunday.

Actually, the 11am info projects Sandy to landfall in DE which is what the 8am info said so they're consistant over that four hour period.

Just got back from a BJ's run... might I say it was packed... anywhooooo... if you do go to BJ's and are interested in battery operated lighting then head to the back corner at the automotive part of the store. You will find a really cool LED hanging lamp thingy that auto guys like to hang on the inside of the hood of a vehicle when they are working on the motor. It works on three AA batteries which are included, but it also comes with a cigarette lighter power cord. And it is only $9.99! These things will be useful even beyond any old storm! I only picked up two... now I want more...:bawl:

I heard that it's supposed to start raining here on Sunday morning and get worse throughout the day. I'm planning around that but I'll listen to the weather Saturday night and Sunday morning for a more accurate update. I might have to change my Sunday RR plans and that means Jennifer might miss out on me...

Are they cylindrical, about seven inches long and give you a warm sensation while they vibrate softly? If so, I gotta get one too!:starcat:

They are saying we should expect 8-10 inches of rainfall before all is said and done.
