I've never heard of the Cane Corso. What do they look like?

A Cane Corso is an Italian Mastiff and is used to guard cattle in Italy. They were used to guard royalty in Rome hundreds of years ago and, supposedly, the breed has never changed. Here's a picture of her and one of the Blue Pitt.:howdy: Oh and did I mention the adoption fee is very, very, very reasonable.

R.I.P. Bobo, We miss you!
We have a lab X (6 years old Male)(sweetest dog in the world but is a tad bit needy and, while he resides with the Akita X, he prefers to be an only dog), an Akita X (5 years old Female)(very, very sweet dog but needs someone who understands larger dogs, especially Akitas), Dogo (8 mo. old Male)(quite a handful but would be a great one person dog), Blue Pitt (8 mos. old Female)(sweet as she can be, loves people but not quite as fond of other animals) and another lab X (8 mo. old Male)(he's a good boy, just every inch a large pup at the moment) . We also have an 8 mo. old Cane Corso (Female)(her brothers have been adopted and she is finally coming out of her shell. she is an absolutely beautiful dog but probably would be best with a couple or a single individual because she's going to need a lot of attention.) That's the pack. All are spayed and/or neutered except for the Blue Pitt and the Cane Corso.

Do you have a pix of the Lab X 8 mo old. My neighbor came by yesterday to look at the lab I have but at this time she is spoken for. It would be a great home and I would like to let them know about yours.

I don't have a pix right at this moment, but I can get one up soon. He is a lab/pitt mix and is going to be a big dog.:howdy:

Thank you for whoever gave me the green, but I'm pretty sure it's a Cane Corso (without the clipped ears). We have a Great Dane the same age who is at least a foot taller than the Corsos, so we're almost positive she's not a Dane. We also adopted one of her brothers to a couple in PA who had a black Cane Corso and they are identical (except for the color, of course). I agree, though, she does look a little like a bloodhound. We're hoping when she is a little less shy she'll stand prouder and, of course, as she matures she will develop more muscle. She's coming around though and will be moving in with me today, cats, miniature dog, blind dog, St. Bernards and all! And if she's not a Cane Corso that's okay because she's come a long way and is a great dog!:howdy:

Shame on them is right. You've done a terrific job caring for and placing all these dogs and kittens.

There is a place up in St Leonard behind the auction house called the SPOT thrift shop that helps with low cost spay and neuter. Totally run by volunteers and totally non profit, they may be able to help you with the spay/neuter. I hear through the grapevine that they are trying to find a building to have a s/n clinic as well as the thrift shop.
If anyone knows of a generous person/persons that could help with a building, please let them know.
I have donated and shopped there a couple times and they seem like wonderful folks and if I didn't travel so much with my job, I would volunteer there. I think they are in the phone book.
Bless you for caring!
