That my tomato and pepper plants are doIng MUCH better this year, than they did last year.

The difference? I didn't plant any this year. I'm gonna have LOTS of 'maters though, from tomato plants growing in the same place that I planted them last year. Late bloomers?

I picked my first ripe tomatoes yesterday and I just got a few jalapeños from the garden this evening.

I know someone who has volunteer squash plants and they are producing.

I am. But I still go to Md on the weekends to work on the house, trying to get it ready for my renters that will be moving in next week. Also have work to do on the G/f's house so we can put that on the rental market as well. And still getting both houses packed up and ready to make the final move. 2 more weeks to go.

Are you renting to a family from St. Mary's by any chance?

I've always called them "volunteers" and since they're acclimated to the soil and climate, they do very well albeit the fruit coming off a bit later than the ones you sow as plants. Enjoy!

My Dad always has problems with tomatoes.

Since they're on vacation, I'm going by there today to raid the garden. I'm hoping for some yellow squash to fry up. :yay:
