OK, stupid question time; I have a copy of Norton Internet Security and it is loaded on my desktop wich is currently not connected until I get either a Nic or a wireless card. When I do Boy has already laid claim to the desktop for his use and it will be on the net too. My question is, can I run Norton on both machines or do I have to go buy another copy?

wireless. Gotta love Dell, so simple even I can do it.
Your neighbors will love it too. Is your user name or password still “admin”?
Have you enabled WEP?

I am not sure. I believe I have. I enabled a "secure" connection and I seem to recall WAP being mentioned. I did change the paswoord and I copied the connection info.

I'd think you need another license before you intall it on another computer.

Yes, you can call them, but the bottom line is you will most likely need another license.

5. Use SSIDS wisely. Change the default Service Set Identifiers (SSIDs) for your APs, and don't use anything obvious like your address or company name. For corporate setups, buy APs that let you disable broadcast SSID. Intruders can use programs such as Kismet to sniff out SSIDs anyway (by observing 802.11x management frames when users associate with APs), but again, every bit of inconvenience helps.

It is best to just use a Random word or random letters and #s for the SSID.

I bought the stand alone Norton 2005 and installed on two different pc's with no problems. You just have to register each pc for the auto update. I had the 2002 installed on over 3 pc's with no problems either. I really don't think they check or maybe they don't care as they will get the renewal subcription for both in a year.
