I've heard the per diem is pretty darn high over there...
I can't figure that out though. I mean, far as I know you can't have a steak at the Outback over there, or many other restaurants for that matter.

Hmmm... never thought about that. Are there restaurants in Muslim countries? I figure since most if not all of them are not ruled in a capitalistic society, it's unlikely.

Showing my ignorance here. Never been outside the country except for Mexico and a Caribbean cruise.
