6 weeks ago, I bought my son 5 pair of pants from J.C. Penney.

School starts and all he wears are shorts because it's still warm outside.

This week, I have tried on all 5 pair and not a single one fit him:bawl:
Doctor noted on Monday that he's gained ten pounds and a little height over the summer.

I can't afford growth spurts:jameo:

Anyone know a kid who is less than a boys 10?? The jeans have been worn maybe one time a piece since I bought them.

What love is all about
I know what you mean. I have started putting pants on my daughter and all of her jeans are too short. Also I noticed today that the pair of shoes I bought her right before school started are already getting too small. I need to buy her a new pair.

I just got rid of a crap load of boys size 10 a couple of months ago. Let me know if you want my boys 12's, it won't be long when he is out of those!

Oh and my daughter does that too, she sneezes wrong and she grows a fricken foot! She is 11 and wears Juniors clothing! People think she's 15!

Our kids much be near the same ages.. My girl is 11 and my boy is 6. Both are tall for their ages and both are built like brick shiat houses according to an old friend who saw them today.

I'll take you up on those size 12's, as long as mine isn't in a 32x36 by then

 Yeah, daughter is on the horsey side, always has been, God I'm glad she doesn't read this. Boy is 9 and has a big butt, but he is skinny. He wears regulars though because of his meaty booty. :lmao:

Daughter must have Amazon genes in her! :faint:

It sure sounds like it! We tease the boy and call him meaty butt, one of these days he's going to let us have it! :lmao:

My daughter also recently had to have glasses which just added to her mature look. It scares the he!! out of me! She already has a bigger chest than I did in High school! That is just not right! I swear it's the hormones they are feeding the animals we eat and the milk we drink! She bought a dress at Penney's in the Misses department! I thought I was going to cry! Where did my baby go???

Mine wears glasses too!!:lmao: And I tend to agree with you on the hormone thing. Kids are developing fast than my generation and generations before me. :frown:

I think I have you all beat! My 7 year old got a new pair of sketchers while we were on vacation the first week in July. She never wore them since it was summer, but the first day of school she goes to put them on and THEY DON'T FIT!!! Not even close. She has to get a new pair of cleats every soccer season also.

You're all F'in Mad...
You people need to stop giving in to back-to-school retail sales pressure... :ohwell:

My chick would do the same thing for her daughter if I didn't grump at her about waiting until October when it starts getting chilly to buy her pants...

My daughter was like that, too until this last year. Check out Sports Authority for cleats by Nike called Total 90 Expand Tech, or something like that. The regular price is like $35, but you can often find them on the clearance rack for about $20-25. Still not bad, even at the regular price, when we get at least 2 seasons out of these. What makes these different is that they have 2 pads in the back that you cut out as your kids foot grows, making the cleat bigger and letting them wear it for a longer time. I don't remember if it is a full size or 1/2 size that you get out of it, but when you look at them, it is quite a bit of additional room. And because it is padded at the back, my daughter always liked the extra comfort that provided. These are the only cleats she has ever worn out before she outgrew them. I highly recommend them!

I started doing that with my kids the last few years, too. Before school starts, I will buy them a couple of new shirts (because everyone wants something new to start school in), but other than that, they have to wait until the weather turns colder for anything new. And then, only if they need it. I found a bunch of pants at the consignment store in Edgewater last year a size up for dd and they still fit her, so I think she is still set! :yahoo:

Oh yeah and I have a Navy blue polo shirt from Gapkids, boys size 14-16. It's never come out of the package it was shipped in. I ordered a bunch of stuff for my little ones and it was put in by mistake. I emailed Gap about sending it back and they said to keep it. Up for grabs just to get it out of my house.

IF you are in need of school uniforms, Target has a decent selection right now that is on sale. I know I had to grab up some shirts and skooters for my daughter who is growing like a weed.
