Deal in the store is with a mail in rebate, and I don't do mail in rebates anymore.
I have never had a problem getting the money back.

I have the new LG Chocolate, and I really like it. My only fault with the phone is the material the face of the phone is made from. It's very scratch-prone, and considering it's a touch screen, that's not so good.
I don't text much from this phone, because it's a pain, so if you're heavily into texting it's probably not the phone for you. I talk, I don't text. I use my Treo if I want to text very much.
A girlfriend of mine recently got the ENV, and loves it, and from a texting perspective would be a much better option because of the full keyboard, but it's too bulky for me for a phone.
They are on sale at VZW in California (MD). $159 with a $50 rebate plus it comes with the accessory bundle (car charger, case or clip, and blue tooth).
Mmmmm...I don't think that bundle comes with a Bluetooth headset. Looking at the stuff on line, I'm guessing that it comes with the Jabra which is not Bluetooth.
I text all the time from my Chocolate phone with no problems...but like you said, the screen is horrible.
but how many really use the email, web browser, text messages (other than teens ) camera (unless you snapping photos of the hot Hooters Waitress)
I use all of those features every day. I'm 30.
I didn't mean to say it can't text, it's just I HATE having to type each letter of each word on that type of keyboard, so I do it only on rare occassions.
BTW, anyone who thinks only teens text is a fool. I'm well over 30, and all of my friends/peers/associates text.

Flip open an EnV and you have a full QWERTY keyboard with big enough keys that someone with gorilla hands like me can use it.I didn't mean to say it can't text, it's just I HATE having to type each letter of each word on that type of keyboard, so I do it only on rare occassions.

I think this goes hand in hand with it's durability.. If you aren't tough on a phone it may be too bulky.. but I'm glad I have it. Mine would have been trashed 3 or 4 times over if it was a little less bulkyLG enV - it was just too bulky, but I did like the keyboard on it.
