TLC's My Strange Addiction: Meet the woman with a 16-year addiction to talc | Mail Online

TLC's television series My Strange Addiction continues to shock and amaze viewers.
To date it has featured people obsessed with everything from teddy bears to hair dryers and season three features some of the most bizarre subjects yet.
Taking centre stage in the third season is 28-year-old Jaye from Houston, Texas who can't get enough baby powder.

What would really be shocking and amazing - if people did not waste their time and synaptic activity watching such stupidity in the first place.

I can't believe the stupid shows on TV now. Everything from Turtleman to Swamp People. Pathetic.

Is he a pedophile in disguise? Does he follow babies around sniffing their butts?

One of my dogs does this CRAP (pun intended). It makes his breath horrid. So now I have to take him out and watch him to make sure he doesn't have his late afternoon snack. Vets said it's pretty normal for dogs to do this. I say nu uh!

I really enjoy shows like that  things like that really exist, and it highlights cbt techniques that are very useful for treating such things..its fascinating. I mean, I would rather watch pathologys and their cures than a bunch of tanned up guidos or knocked up teenagers.

And talc isn't used in much baby powder anymore its generally cornstarch which isn't a huge deal but talc can cause serious respitory issues..that's why it shouldn't be used with infants.

Apollo doesn't eat poop. He likes to smell it for prolonged periods, but doesn't try and snack on it.

Why watch them in the first place? Just hearing or reading about those shows make my eyes and ears bleed.

Speaking of ears bleeding, there was one girl on the show that developed a OCD in digging in her ear with things. She has had several infections and bleeding from it. It started when she was young and got a twig stuck in her ear and ever since then she feels there is something lodge in her ear.

I find it pretty fascinating that there are people out there slightly more screwed up than me. Not to make me feel better about my life, but to realize there are people in real pain that need help. I used to reject these people as just weak and undisciplined until some things hit me in a personal way. Or maybe in getting older I’m starting to become empathetic about these sorts of things.
