I think that the "official" rules at Sauner's Lake is that a member can take an "out of town guest" to the range and shoot, but I doubt that they ask for I.D. I put in my application and paid the money to join, but was denied for this year because they were/are at full membership. I'm told it can take several years to get in.

Gee, guess I will be driving an hour then. Shame there isnt more around here.

I think the neighbors would have something to say about it. Unfortunately there are houses all around, and everything is flat and open. Not safe and not legal for sure.

Ahhhh, okay, I understand about the safety issue and agree. I got the idea that you lived on a larger farm where it would not be a problem. As far as legal goes, as long as you are at least 150 yards from the nearest occupied dwelling you're legal.
