I Hate to Pick on Dean But...

Now see...

...her we go again mis-quoting people and taking things out of context.

living standard for Iraqis is "a whole lot worse" since a U.S.-led force toppled Saddam.

What the Gov. actually said was (if you listen to the tape)

"...living standards for Howard Dean is 'a whole lot worse' since the US led topple of Saddam..."

He was speaking in the third person and was not allowed to clarify his remarks when another John Kerry campaign operative with a "Get High With Rush Limbaugh' T shirt interrupted the Governors press conference chanting of "Jumper Cables! Jumper cables!!!" to the tune of Slayers "Angel of Death".

Get it right people.

What's frightening is that this is nothing new. The press is acting like this guy has undergone a drastic change or something. But this is the exact same Howard Dean he's been since he threw his hat in the ring. He's been saying all along that the Iraqis were better off with Saddam in power.

What's disturbing is that he was the front-runner, despite his obvious mental illness, for several months. There are gobs of people out there that listened to him spew this garbage and supported him vehemently. Now, suddenly, he's out of the media's favor and not their darling anymore, so they'll shine a brighter light on his psychosis and pretend he's gone round the bend.

It took this long to crack the idealogical cast that Big News viewed Mr. Dean. When they finally realized he was way out in left field it (obviously) was because he was crazy, not that they were crazy for/along with him.

Is there some kind of psychological term to describe this?
