the good thing about the yearling is you know what you are getting. just because you breed a great stud to a great mare does not mean you get a great baby....buying something already on the ground means you know the size,movement ,disposition ect....good luck on your choice. we bred my daughters horse last year...we lucked out and got an great WP prospect...color and gender of our choice....but so much can go wrong and you could end up investing alot and getting nothing....plus we now have to wait to ride ect...plus she has to show my green bean this year til we wean our baby in august....but he is a cutie ,don't you think?
