I love the Gutfeld show: especially, Tyrus...

Tyrus always either manages to crystallize the issue into a few pithy and precise words - or he just cuts to the chase and goes past it.
Gutfeld is always just slightly less entertaining when Tyrus isn't on.

Plus, he's really funnier than Greg, and that's a high bar.

I LOVE Tyrus but I have to admit. His New Years Eve Special was terrible. It was actually painful to watch. Did anyone else watch?

I did. I wasn't impressed.

Same format as Fox News Saturday Night. Some hosts as good, some aren't. (I hate to say but Kat Timpf is terrible.)

Kennedy pretending to sling drinks at the bar was beyond bad and what the He!! was the interview with the old wrestler? I know Tyrus is a wrestler, but how many people really connected with that?

During the holidays, while Greg was off, I caught two of the Gutfeld shows. I actually thought Kat did a great job that one time!

I did see the first Fox News Saturday Night and I thought Jimmy did a good job.

Last night, he made a joke that barely registered with his panel, but it took me by surprise...

They brought up the subject of soap on a rope, and he said "they PUT it on a rope, so you can take it OUT".

As seen right here on SOMD! :jet:
Which goes to show that, once you get a good slanderous meme out there, it lives forever.
My kids don't follow politics AT ALL - and yet every one of them knows one thing about Trump - "he's a racist".
When asked, they just say everyone knows that.

Skepticism, Investigation and Critical Thinking are lost skills these days.

Hopefully you'll be able to instill them in your kids before Public School or College do irreparable harm.

This is almost certainly a consequence of social media - when all of your news comes from TikTok and Facebook memes.
My youngest is squarely in the "No Genocide" pro-Hamas crowd, because her best friend is Muslim, and she believes all Muslims are nice like her friend. And I hear pro-Hamas propaganda coming from her. She is not well equipped to logically sort out - Hamas - Palestinian - Jewish history and Arab animosity - and all that. She knows that Gazans are killed, and gets upset when I describe brutal things done on October 7th, and has gone far enough to say she doubts they happened.

AND THAT the Holocaust ever happened.

What gets me is when I hear these sorts of things from my OLDEST son, because he has a cognitive disability and an IQ well below average. He barely knows who the President is, but he says this too - which means, in schools, that's what he hears. Maybe not from teachers, but from all around him. He doesn't know anything about Biden, nor does he even KNOW who the VP is.

Which brings me to another point I wanted to make earlier ----

When the media misrepresents Trump like this bloodbath crap above - some of them KNOWINGLY do it. They write an article with a VERY MISLEADING headline, knowing that a LOT of viewers will barely go a paragraph deep into the article. It is way beyond clear, his words described how bad it will be for auto manufacturers, but his detractors have turned it COMPLETELY into something else.

Any my point is - I think SOME of these nitwits on TV - and our politicians - they do the same damned thing that the press hopes the rank and file American voter will do. Read the headline, confirm their own bias and look no further. I think some of them REALLY ARE THAT STUPID. I have little doubt quite a few are just lying their asses off, but I do think a lot of them REALLY ARE STUPID.

That's one of the things that showed me what the Democrats were back in the 80s.

About 50% Propagandists, Provocateurs and Power-Hungry Opportunists.

The other half are morons that think they're insightful intellectuals.

They've only become worse with time.
