That's one of the things that showed me what the Democrats were back in the 80s.
About 50% Propagandists, Provocateurs and Power-Hungry Opportunists.
The other half are morons that think they're insightful intellectuals.
They've only become worse with time.
I once knew a guy years ago, in Massachusetts, when I lived there in the 80s. Like most people from Massachuseetts, die-hard Democrat.
Asian guy. Worked on Dukakis's campaign.
What bothered him GREATLY was, that behind the rhetoric - privately - they were nothing at all like their public personas. They could be grossly bigoted and condescending to anyone not in their "class" - rich white guys.
So he went to Bush's campaign, in 92. That's when he met Dubya, who was no one, back then. Later, at the RNC convention in 96, for Dole, he ran into Dubya again, and was surprised that he was remembered. This was when I began to realize that while Dubya may not have been an effective President, his conversations with Eric convinced me - he was still a good man, in fornt of and behind the scenes.
NOT so much with the Democrats. He said the level of bigotry was astonishing. He's still somewhat liberal, but I will never forget what he said, back then.
