I need a color

Red is the hardest color to piant. Yellow is the 2nd hardest.

Yellow was the first color I painted in my kitchen last spring over a blue wall. It was HELL to paint over the yellow... Again and again......Had to prime it three times. Now its "brushed suade (sp?)." This isn't working for me. Next is red.

:yeahthat: And if you don't like it, you can re-paint it every weekend until you find something you like.

I'm still thinking about re-painting the kitchen red, which was MY first choice until SOMEONE over-ruled it.

I am uploading a pic of my kitchen now BS Gal :yay:

I did red accent walls for my sister in her kitchen. They took primer and 4 coats of red.

What type of mood are you going for? Do you want a relaxing bathroom? A fun bathroom? A girly look? A manly look?

Relaxing would be good....once the house is totally finished(and all the mutts are gone) this will be the "guest bathroom"

But wait, there's more...
Lowes has those small trial-sized cans they can tint so you can pick a few to slap on the walls and see how it looks with the colors in different lights/times of day. I did that with my upstairs bathroom. Unfortunately, I'm not loving the color I chose, and will probably go back to one of the gray/green-toned colors I originally liked/wanted. :ohwell:

that doesn't help me :ohwell:

I have a bunch of crap you can look at in my garage and some of it you can see on my walls, just to give you an idea. You can take some of it and just paint a bit on the walls and look at it. I've got a FULL array of crap I didn't like that might work out for you.

that doesn't help me :ohwell:

Soft colors such as:

Beige
Cool/warm blue shades
Gray
Green

NO bright colors such as pink, orange, purple, red, etc. That's not relaxing colors theme.

Lowes have alot of "paint" samples that you can grab all of the colors you like and tape them on your bathroom's wall to see which ones you like the best. If you got rid alot of colors you don't like, and have a few that you do like but can not decide, you should leave it there for a few days or a week and walk by it everyday to see which ones you feel more comfortable and like the most.

This sounds like the best plan. I believe mikeinsomd went with crap/piss for his bathroom last time he painted. :yay:

You could always go with what I did in one of my bathrooms. It's a bright color, but it's a beachy theme so it's relaxing but still kind of fun.
