I need a good hairstylist...Recs??

I live in Calvert and would like recommendations for a good hairstylist. One who also is good with long hair - both for cut & color. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Scalped Salon is excellent. I've been going there since they opened (they've been in business a long time..they were in Upper Marlboro for years). Dottie does my hair but all of the stylists are very good.

It's more pricey than the Hair Cutteries and Unique Chic type of places but it's a very nice salon, very professional and they work hard to make you feel special.

I second Scalped Salon and Spa! They are great, I've been going there for years (since they were in Upper Marlboro) and Kathleen does my hair - but they are all great! I also go to the spa portion for facials/nails/massage all that fun stuff. Enjoy!

Emma at Michelangelo's in Huntingtown is excellent. She really listens to what you want and works until it looks just the way you want.

Who is good with blonde heavy hi-lites in dark brown hair. It is so much harder to get the right tone of blonde with brown hair.

To both: Try Mirrored Image in Owings, off of Route 2. Leah is an excellent hair stylist. I dye my hair dark brown, and then she puts in blonde highlights and always does an excellent job. If you want the number, message me, or you can look it up in the yellowpages.

Julie, at Cedar Point Hair Salon in Lexington Park.. She is excellent.. All hair styles great.. Does beautiful hi-lites and great cuts, beautiful up-do's.. But, you better call because she is booked way in advance... I love her!!!
