I need a good Vet

Good morning. :howdy:

I thought while I was doing a search, I would bug you guys. I need a good vet. My yellow lab who is 8 has done nothing but lay around for about 3 weeks. He would get up and you think he's better then he goes right back down a day or two.

He loves Alpo food. I always buy it from Wal-Mart. I was running out the other day and ran into food lion to buy some, it had been pulled. Wal-Mart hadn't pulled theirs and it wasn't on the list when I read it. I would feel much better if I had him checked out. Thanks a bunch.

Anywhere is St. Mary's would be great. I don't like the people at Solomon's.

Please make sure he is considered and tested for Lymes disease.

He's been like this for 3 wks and your just now getting around to having your pup checked out?

The Well Pet Clinic (301)866-0303 (NOT a full service vet) or St. Marys. Both are great

Thanks everybody. I am going to St. Mary's by Ralph's Dodge later today. I just feel so sorry for him. He always has a lot of energy, but nothing. I described everything to her, and she was great, we think it's an ear infection, but we will see. Thanks. :howdy:

Oh please don't think I'm like that and not care. Like I said he would get up act ok for a couple of days then back down. I thought he had a bug cuz my son had the flu for a couple of days. I honestly thought he caught the flu. He never gets sick!! And then when I saw that in Food Lion the other day, I almost died.

Crappy food period. But look at this http://www.purina.com/Company/Press/2007/MightyDog.aspx

I love the vets at Prince Frederick...not in St. Marys though. St. Mary's Animal Hospital is very good.

This is exactly what he ate. He is soooo picky. He loves the thin slices, and the chunky kind. Filet mignone also. Other than that he wouldn't eat anything. Needless to say we put the cans left out in the garage. He now eats Pedigree. I was surprised he ate it. He is just so darn particular. But thank you, I printed this out to take with me. When I first looked at the list Alpo was not on the list. I feel like crap right about now.

You think it is an ear infection? Why does his ears smell funny? If it is an ear infection that has been going on three weeks and you are now just seeking a vet shame on you. If you are now just finding out about the pet food recall, shame on you! :buttkick:

A dog is only picky because you let him be. Let him go a day or two of turning his nose up at his food, he'll cave and eat eventually. A cat will starve itself until it's liver shuts, a dog will not for the most part.

The vets in Prince Frederick are awesome, I HIGHLY recommend them. :flowers:

Or they are picky because they know that the food is bad or they are sick or they have an allergy to the food.

You know if the pet owner wasn't concerned they wouldn't have left a message. You don't know what else took place prior to the message for help. What good did your comment do? What were you trying to prove? Simply Amazing!
