2-3yrs or as soon as they'll let them count their teeth.
My daughters first visit they only counted her teeth and then blew air on them so she would get used to the dentist poking around.

Funny thing - she wouldn't open her mouth so the dentist told her they had to check for spiders and make sure none were living in there - opened her right up!

Susan Noble in Prince Frederick is pretty good.... my daughter broke off half a tooth in a sledding accident and had to go to a pediatric dentist... she was very happy with her... she sat there and watched a disney flick while Dr. Noble rebuilt the only permanent tooth the child had in her mouth...

My kids love Dr. Noble, her assistants and her bird Sweety. Only thing is you have to pay upfront then get reimbursed from your insurance company.

Thanks for this - you made me laugh! And dentistry is a serious business (just ask my daughter). Does this fellow have television and headphones as well? I didn't realise we had a pediatric dentist down this way - fabulous.
Thanks to everybody - I won't be choosing blindly now. What a great forum!

I also need to know about a general practitioner (Doctor). Any ideas on this one (I'm thinking more of me now)...

I'm not sure as I haven't had any little ones for a while, call Dr. Juambeltz office 301-994-1800. Since they specialize in children they would know all the answers you need! :huggy:
My daughter has her first visit with him on Tues. For reference, his phone number is 997-1800, not 994. (and my daughter is 19 months) Receptionist said when the baby gets teeth, it's time to start seeing the dentist, although my first reason for making the appointment is she is a teeth grinder :fingernailsonachalkboard:.

I also did this with my other kids, they started seeing the dentist at 1 1/2 and they are now 21 and 18 and cavity free
