I need a Jack and some Lube!....Motorcycle

Ok I moved to Great Mills last week and I can't find a place to get stuff for my bike. I need some chain lube and the auto parts stores don't have the right stuff. I also need a motorcycle jack or just pop-up. I'm tired of fighting with the plug and the cement. I thought about making a pop-up but would rather just buy one.

Thanks

Where did you move from? MC jacks can be had from Walmart, Sears, BJ's, harbour freight...depends on what you want. I got one of these

As for m/c supplies, there places all over the place around there. Shop in San Souci that caters to custom harleys still should have what you need, as most of the bikes that they build are chain driven.

But theres' plenty of others around between there and Atlantic Cylce in Waldorf.

I've got a cycle jack I'll sell you. My bike has a center stand and I never use it.
What are you using for chain lube? I use Dupont teflon lube available at Lowes. goes on wet, and dries leaving a teflon coating. Works great and NO lobe getting slopped on my wheel or engine.

How much? Im just looking for lube that wont sling and is safe for o-rings. I have a Shadow. I will check out the dupont thanks!

As for places to go, Ive only been here a week and hadn't seen one in this area. Seems dumb if I had to drive an hour to get a can of lube.

Here's the lube. It's about $5 a can at Lowes.

We can hook up and I'll show you the jack, then make an offer if you're interested.

Want to meet some local riders, check out the "Chrome and Crabs" thread in the motorcycle forum

Great! Its good to know they have it at Lowe's. Ill be stopping there tomorrow. I'm hoping to get an oil change and get my battery charged this weekend. Actually most likely I need to get a new one. I haven't rode in almost a year. Houston was nuts, and I didn't trust anyone to go ride. No back roads where I was unless you were on the jam packed highways for 20 mins. I know Lowe's won't carry that. Any ideas where to get one from quick. After unpacking I would like to ride this weekend if it stays nice like it has been.

Thanks again to everyone.

A friend of mine bought this for his Wide Glide. Works great. Link Think I'm going to order one for myself.
If you have a floor jack Sears sells an adaptor for it that will turn it into a bike jack..

Personally I've never needed one.. but did see the floor jack adaptor in Sears at Wildewood..

WalMart might have one. Also a good place the get oil and filters. They actually have a seperate section for motorcycle oil filters. Try the Rotella T oil. It's made for diesel engines, but the additives that make it good for them also makes it good for bikes

What bike do you ride?

If you haven't heard it from anyone yet, DO NOT go to Atlantic Cycle, their service department doesn't seem to understand the words "customer service".....
