my grandfather is sitting here telling me to ignore bruno and not play or pet her. I mean shes a puppy and puppies need attention just like any animal they all crave it. He claims she is biting me because I pay attention to her. Which is bs she is biting me because she thinks I am one of her pack and I tried to explain that to my 75yr old grandfather and he thinks I am full of sh$t an know not a single thing about the dog. Mind you I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and is 15 going on 16 weeks now. Mind you she does get hyper and start biting.

I am glad I take her to the country store with me everyday so she gets 3hrs of attention then by me and the people who come into the store.

My grandfather has never owned a dog and he thinks he knows everything (which is bs). I tried to have my trainer come over and give my grandfather some lessons on how to work with her since hes using all the wrong commands etc with her and he won't let me tell him the right ones as he said he knows it all and he doesn't need to be told jack.

yes I know what you mean. Thankgod hes only here for another 2 weeks but my mom comes back in about a week and 5days and then she can yell at my grandfather when he uses the wrong commands etc with her.

she was referring to my grandfather. The dog is a puppy shes still a baby and needs a lot of love and attention and I try my best to give it to her when he isn't around for the 3hrs that I am at the store. Sun and mon she and I will get more time together as I stay there til I feel like closing.

I do ignore her when she is biting only when she comes over an starts giving me doggy kisses do i pay attention to her or if shes laying on the floor with her belly up wanting it to be rubbed when my grandparents walk by and they pay no mind to her then i go over and rub it or if she comes and sits next to me I give her attention. They want me paying 0 mind to her at all no attention no nothing which i think is total bs.

Yep, your grandpa is 75, and I'm sure during those 75 years he didn't learn a single thing about anything, matter of fact I'd say ANYTHING coming out of his mouth is probably stupid, and is full of Jack.

Maybe you can suggest him getting a dog and then have him train that dog and see in the end which way is better :shrug: The two dogs will also become playmates too :shrug: You and your grandfather seem to be on complete opposite sides of the spectrum on training. I think your grandfather cares alot for you and the new dog and is only trying to help. If he didn't care he wouldn't try so hard. :shrug:

Things are getting worse here by the day..my grandfatgher today threw bruno on teh floor and slammed her head down and told her not to move. I siad she doesn't understand and yelling at her just makes her afraid he told me to shut the hell up when I told him that. He knows jack #### about dogs and it just urkes me. I need to do something about her biting shes left me with bruises so I asked him to take me by the vet to get bitter apple and he said no so I guess I will get more bruises and I will show them to my mom when she gets home and say your stupid father wouldn't listen to me that is why i look this way. He tells me not to play with bruno at all and he said i deserve to be bitten when I sure as heck don't deserve anything.

If you are a kid and he's the one in charge I don't know what to tell you, but if he lives there and when your mom gets home, she allows this to continue, then for the dogs well being, it needs to be rehomed. (how old are you?)
