I like that bit about double checking tip amounts with people's credit card charges. Holy f***.
Currently if you add the tip to the card, it is held till their paycheck and taxes are paid. The wife was a waitress for a time and she said that the IRS could check your sales since it is computerized and if you did claim a certain percentage in tips they could gig you. Do we now put a small tip on the card and the rest in cash?

We've been tipping straight cash for years now.

I try to tip in cash only.

Time to abolish the IRS and go to a flat tax system.

I have to wonder WHAT motivates this administration for some of its ideas.

I listened to about ten minutes of last night's SOTU before I just quit and remembered, dude, it's been a propaganda piece for decades now.
But Biden was going to crack down on "hotel fees" - and then he said they can be as much as a hundred dollars a night.

Now between you and me, if it costs more than TWO hundred dollars a night, I'm looking for alternatives.

So WHO wants to "save" that "extra hundred"? Who in God's name is THAT helping?

Not middle America. They don't go to hotels all that often, but they sure don't go to ones where they charge an extra hundred here and there, like it's no big deal.

You know, I thought the same thing. When I've gone down the bill before, about the only unusual thing I'd find was, ooops, valet parking wasn't free. Who bought a movie? Dammit I said no minibar. That's why I wondered WTF is he talking about? Who on earth is fussing about paying "hotel fees"?

Now - HOSPITAL fees - they're another story. They're the one cost I can guarantee, insurance never covers and sometimes, the only fee I pay.
I mean, I sort of get it - it does cost the hospital money to remain open, even if it has almost no patients.
