I personally know this dog and when I saw his picture on Tri-County's website, I started choking up and tears started streaming when I realized without a doubt that it was him. If there are any rescue groups out there with space, I'm begging you, please rescue him. I am going to work on my husband to foster him when I get home so I might be able to foster if needed. Why does someone get rid of a dog that is nine yrs old? Had he been a member of their family all that time?

I wanna be a SMIB
I hat it when people get rid of a pet when they are old. Its kinda like putting grandma in a home.

There was recently a dalmation at Tri-County that was 11 yrs old...WTH?!?!?...did the family really think that dog had a chance of being adopted?

PS...Kudos to anyone who may have adopted him!!

I need a nap
that is so sad, the look on that poor fella's face. I hope he finds a good home to spend his last years in. I would foster him, but I travel alot and live alone, so I couldn't do it. Poor little guy.

He needs you!

My little one saw his picture and said "Aww, he's terrified!". :bawl:

I know. But it appears he could have issues with other dogs. I have two dogs now that have issues. One is a :diva: and the other seems to think he owns the place.

If Buddy was an owner surrender, he can 'go down' at any time...there's no hold time for an owner surrender like there is for a stray...poor Buddy, how terrible...:frown:

Is there any chance you could adopt him?

The problem w/ a rescue taking him is, if anything happens w/ your fostering situation, and you can't do it any longer - it doesn't work out, whatever - the rescue is liable for his care and finding another foster for him...most rescues are chock full and don't have available foster homes. I can check w/ K_K to see what she says, but we wouldn't have anywhere to put him if it didn't work out w/ you fostering.

Why was the dog given up? I can try to contact somebody but if a rescue puts their name on him then they are responsible....
