Is he the kind of dog that can stay alone inside for a few hours a day or does he need to be outside? My yard isn't fenced in and until it is I couldn't go to work leaving a dog tied up outside where other animals could come up and mess with him and he was tied up and had to take it from them.

Just talked to shelter...nice dog..people had him for nine years..got him as a puppy. I am going to try to do something. He can be put down at any time.

I called the shelter aroud 4:30ish to see if he was still available. He is but I wasn't going to be able to take him that day since I wouldn't get there during adoption hours. Since I work on Saturday and they are closed Sunday, the lady that I was dealing with made a note that I was interested and would be by Monday.

That does not guarantee he won't be put down. :frown:

Why is he there? If you are going to foster him, how long are you prepared to keep him? It is going to be hard to place an older dog. What commitment can you make to him?

I've talked to Krazy_Kat. I can go get Buddy but I need a commitment for a foster home. Second Hope's current foster homes are at capacity and the funds are limited. Is there anyone that is willing to take him? Ewashkow...I sent you a pm.

ewash is picking Buddy up today (weather permitting I suppose) to foster him. He will be up for adoption through Second Hope Rescue and you will be able to meet him at our adoption events at Pepper's Pet Pantry.

jetmonkey, go get him...you know you want him....I can tell you want to give this poor guy the best of the last years he's got....he seems so loving, give him a chance to love you....

BUDDY UPDATE:


Buddy is in his new home tonight adored and surrounded by LOVE! Thanks to everyone who helped Buddy along the way.
