Shiyat. I am a linear thinker. I see in terms of straight lines, right or wrong, yes or no. Not an ounce of creativity in me. If I was to do anything , it'd probably be write a historically accurate book - some boring massive tomb of work that people never really read.
I find being systematic takes too long. I jump from A to D and backsolve for B & C, just to make sure I'm correct and to further define D. I also have very few hard-set boundaries of black and white (though most people that know me say otherwise): Everything is grey to me.
If I could have any job/career I wanted, I'd be an electrical lab rat. Any sub-field would be fine. That's probably the only job I'd leave my present one for. More hands-on stuff, less regulations, less restrictions, less drafting and more problem solving. And you get to play with, design and build cool toys that haven't been played with before.
Yeah, I have to stay away from Radio Shack and the electronics departments in stores. If I see some cool-looking electronic device I not only have to play with it to figure out what it does, but I have this impulse to tear it apart and see what makes it tick. Hand me a black box and some tools, and I get giddy.
Sorry VV, I don't like any of the jobs listed. I hate fame, recognition, dealing with people, etc. I like being the guy in the background running around like a chicken with its head cut-off, getting everything done- and noone knows he exists.
