A Sony 50" goes for about $7K. Could you actually spend that much on a washer/dryer? The thought that someone without clothes washing capibilities would consider spending that much on a TV is kind of crazy.

I took the practical choice, but would prefer to pay of my car noteor even get new carpet/hardwood...I have a new tv and a new washer/dryer.

I just thought it was interesting when I asked some of my friends what they'd choose...most of the guys would immediately say the tv, but the ones who had had experiences with the laundromat wanted the convenience of their own washer/dryer.

But wait, there's more...

This is America, why should I have to chose? We have the ability to earn/create the wealth necessary to obtain what ever we want. I want a big screen TV and a maid service to do my laundry.
:high5: I have both and I'm a happier camper for it!

I picked the TV because that his my hubby's dream - a big plasma TV. I am not much of a tv watcher, as long as I have a radio I am fine. Plus I hate dryers. I really prefer to hang my clothes on a line - even in winter. I would just want the washing machine.

it doesn't matter if you already have a tv, or already have a washer/dryer.......this question was meant to ask whether you'd value convenience of laundry, or big screen tv.......
Oh, well in that case, I'd take the TV, sell it for a few grand, buy the washer and dryer, and then buy a 72" projection screen TV.

no offense, but the comparison is pretty stupid. I don't know anymore who doesn't have a washer/dryer, which would explain the choice of the TV.
