I just figured out that the Redskins actually could still make the playoffs, based on all the tie-breaking rules. It's a long shot but they're in if the following things happen:
(1a) Washington wins against Philly
(1b) Washington wins @ SF
(2a) Atlanta loses @ Minnesota
(2b) Atlanta loses against SL
(3) Tampa Bay loses to Oakland
(4) Chicago either loses against GB or @ Houston
It doesn't matter what NO does next week or what happens in the Philly/Dallas game.
So what are their chances? I roughly estimate them to be 0.3 % (1 in 300+).
