IHOP in Laplata

Coming from someone who works where they have a breakfast buffet. :roflmao:

I have a husband that works in DC - I did explain that Ive served in all types of places and currently I do not work outside the home, save for one day a week. I enjoy the ppl I work with and what I do. The atmosphere and my boss are 2 of the biggest reason I go in once a week. I enjoy it. Im not paying the bills on this currently. Its fun money. If I needed to pay the bills Id work full time in my field of restaurant management. Im happy to have my social time as I call it without the responsibility of running the joint these days.

I dont need to brag about what Ive made in other locals. Servers can make excellent money. If I must add : FOR A SERVER just so your pompous self feels better, well there, its said. A server isnt going to make what a doctor makes but in the right local she can make more then some degreed professions. NOT ALL degreed professions - NOT even MANY- SOME.

There are no small jobs, only small minds.

Im not sure what you are laughing at? That I enjoy what I currently do and happen to know something about the hospitality industry and those that work with in that field? Nice...

I didnt know there was an ihop in laplata. Is it part of the new construction or am I just blind?

It is by the new Lowes - when you pull in, it is to the right next to the first set of shops.

You should be at Pancakes Plus not IHOP.......

Now your talking. :yay: We use to make it a point to go there once a month, but have been slacking lately. I cannot think of a bad meal in that place - if you can get a seat. Key is to go early.

The first couple of times we went to the iHop in La Plata, the food and service were good. Yesterday, after being seated, it took about 45 minutes to get our food. The waiter let our drinks run out and never mentioned what the hold up was. I think we'll go back to Pancake's Plus - their food is much better anyway.

Really?!? I've been there a couple of times and haven't ever had a problem (YET?!?!)

We've been there twice now and that place sucks. Food has come out cold both times and somehow I always get the hashbrown that's been sitting at the bottom of the fryer all morning. My husband got a Pancake Platter where you get the works with your choice of 2 of their "famous" pancakes. He asked for blueberry. What he got was two dinky regular pancakes (cold!) with a bowl of cold blueberry pie filling. The lady said "Oh you wanted them inside the pancake?" Not wanting to wait any longer he told her he'd just eat what he had. The bill came and they charged us for the blueberry filling.

As annoying as it was we thought it was pretty funny that he ordered blueberry pancakes and had to pay for the blueberries.

So yeah, go to Bob Evans instead.
