Illegal immigrants moving out

Illegal immigrants living in states and cities that have adopted strict immigration policies are packing up and moving back to their home countries or to neighboring states.
The exodus has been fueled by a wave of laws targeting illegal immigrants in Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and elsewhere. Many were passed after congressional efforts to overhaul the immigration system collapsed in June.
Supporters of the laws cheer the departure of illegal immigrants and say the laws are working as intended.
Oklahoma state Rep. Randy Terrill, Republican author of his state's law, says the flight proves it is working. "That was the intended purpose," he says. "It would be just fine with me if we exported all illegal aliens to the surrounding states."
Most provisions of an Oklahoma law take effect in November. Among other things, it cuts off benefits such as welfare and college financial aid.

After reading that, I know I don't have any sympathy for that guy. Illegal is illegal. Even he said that. After 11 years he couldn't speak English, didn't pay taxes, or took the time to look into our legal system. Go directly to jail, do not collect $59,000.

Eh, he was leaving anyway. Give him his money and then deport him fast. They spent more government money dicking around with the guy than he was carrying.

No I don't. First he was here ILLEGALLY and second he admits to not paying taxes on the money he earned. So far I see three crimes entering the U.S. illegally, working without autherization and not paying taxes. If he would have followed the correct procedures he would not be in this mess.

Strict immigration law rattles Okla. businesses - USATODAY.com
The Oklahoma measure is broader than a controversial Arizona law that suspends or revokes business licenses of employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants. Among other things, 1804 makes it a felony to transport or shelter illegal immigrants. It also denies illegal immigrants driver's licenses and public benefits such as rental assistance and fuel subsidies.
...
Widespread reports of vanishing employees and schoolchildren suggest thousands of illegal immigrants have left Oklahoma for neighboring states or their native countries. Cotton gins, hotels and home builders have lost workers. Restaurant and grocery store owners complain of fewer customers.

I feel sorry for him. It is wrong for them to take his money, he worked hard for it. They should take out state and federal taxes from the $59,000 and send him on his way with the $20,000 he has left.

I guess they'll all migrate to Md. now. Our Governor will welcome they with open arms and laws to match. :banghead:

Its frustrating I know. Do you know how hard it is to find a contractor who answers yes when you ask him if all his employees are fully documented US citizens? I have been looking for a contractor for months now and none of them will can say they only hire US citizens. I actually had one guy who thought I was joking laugh and wink at me as he said "of course all my workers are US citizens".

They are already here. I see van loads of them every morning at the 7-11 in Mechanicsville (one with gas pumps). The 7-11 even carries special Mexican beverages for them. Now isn't that nice.

So why aren't these guys rounded up and shipped out? It's not like they are hard to find.

Is harboring an illegal any less of an offense than harboring any other criminal who has broken the law??

I know it is hard for illegals to find jobs in the cess pool country they live in,but should we turn our country into a cess pool by hiding them?

Enter legally and find a job, enter illegally and get sent home.

They should pay taxes ,buy health insurance and pay their own way. The same way the Irish, Chinese, Japanese. Poles, Germans ,Italians and everyone else did.

PS --Learn to speak English. It isnt up to me to learn to speak your language so we can be understood. You came here.,learn the language.

When I go overseas I make sure I speak enough of the local language to get around. I don't expect the locals to speak English.

Zapeta admits he never paid taxes.

Non tax paying illegal ........ put his ass on a plane home, he consider himself lucky for not doing time for illegal entry and income tax evasion

GTFH

Any illegal caught should get a one way ticket home and total forfeiture of all assets to be actioned off by the federal gov like drug dealer assets

:yeahthat: It was illegally attained money - just as if he stole it directly. Give the money in a scholarship to the teenager that would have washed those dishes honestly, and saved it for a Camero, prom, and college.

Plane?
Pedro managed to walk from taco land to where he is now without any money, seems to me that he can walk his refried bean smelling self back the same way.

I see no need to waste money on them.
