Dems raise stakes on immigration - David Rogers - Politico.com

Going into November’s elections, House and Senate Democrats are outbidding the White House on spending for immigration enforcement, with a special emphasis on deporting people convicted of major drug offenses and violent crimes.

This is just surreal that after 6 years of full GOP 'leadership' that this issue is a gimme for the Dems.

I guess 'ol Dubbya was too busy making sure border guards weren't a shootin' no drug dealers to clamp down on the bad guys we'd already locked up.
