I think anyone who is a complete and total party loyalist is an idiot and not worthy of having a conversation with.
He didn't say he knew anything about the Democratic party or politics in general - he said he was a Yellow Dog Democrat. As in, he'd vote for a yellow dog as long as it was a Democrat.

Hey Archi, just think of me as one of those who can be Conservative and still be a Democrate.. I figure that if George's boy can be a Compassionate Conservative, I can be a Conservative Democrate..

Well, I know just enough about the Republican Party to know that a Yellow Dog Democtat makes for a better candidate even if the run is for Dog Catcher.

Heee. You know I can remember when a fellow ask me year ago would I vote for Jimmy "Teeth" Carter. I told him I sure would.. He then reminded me about the high High Inflation, Interest Rates and it was during Carter's stay in office when a loaf of bread went from 35 cents to $1.35.. I then told him I didn't mind paying a $1.35 for a loaf of bread.. Nope not at all because atleast when Carter was in office I was work'in and could afford the $1.35.
I see. So you're one of those that believes all Democrats are good and all Republicans are evil.

Hon one thing you'll eventually learn about me and that is to assume nothing.. Never said they were evil.. My mother, God rest her soul even voted Republican.... Sometimes.. She always stuck with the man and not the party.. I merely implied that I would rather see a Democrat in office then a Republican.
