My mom always bought Golden Grain cause it was cheaper, I wanted the Kraft stuff so bad......

Now all I want is the home made stuff that is baked and has the breadcrumbs on top.

I never understood why mac and cheese from a box was never the same reheated.

Why would you reheat it? It's much better cold.

In other news, scientists have determined that having parents like Lisa Leake and Vani Hari (both from North Carolina but not natives, obviously they're damnedyankee transplants) can permanently damage children's mental health, causing them to grow up to be whiny butt-in-skis enamored of their own imagined self-importance.

You don't reheat it you let it turn it in to a block, dip it egg wash and bread crumbs and fry it. One of the best bad for you foods ever.

As with the majority of these chemicals, don't eat 50 lbs of the chemical in one sitting and you'll be ok.

You know, the truth in labelling laws that got us the nutrition information and ingredients on packages were supposed to take care of this. People could see what's in the product and make their decision. There are mac and cheese products available that do not contain these dyes.

If people don't want to eat these dyes, don't buy the products. Buy the competitor's product that doesn't use them. Do all of your shopping at Whole Foods so you dont' have to worry about it. If Kraft doesn't sell enough product, they will change on their own. The idea that a petition is going to do anything is just  (should be :mkk:)

I'm more concerned about the amount of fat, salt, and carbs in the mac and cheese than the dyes. On a scale of 1-100 my concern is about 0.1, so the dyes are <0.1 out of 100.

If there's one food that could be considered Redneck Caviar, this would be it.

I had it last year at a wedding. Not a trailer park wedding either - the bride was a top ten finalist in the 2011 Miss America pageant. Great eye candy at that wedding.

Now stop that. The American Way is to ##### and cry so NOBODY can buy a product.

It's like the smoking ban:

I hate smoking in restaurants!
So go to a restaurant that doesn't allow smoking.
No! I want to go to THIS restaurant, and I want them to not allow smoking!

Selfish memememememememe bullcrap.

CL? They usually post their menu specials on Facebook.

Yup. They post them every day. I need more notice than that. I'm going to call up there and ask when they're having it again. They should just put it permanently on their menu.
