Youngest had a 4th and 5th grade chorus concert tonight....
his dad, my girl and me are all the way in the back(where we usually stand) and enter the kids to take there place on stage..........
First we just do a simple wave....he waves back, big smile on his face....me and girl are commenting on the fact that he looks rather good in the only button up shirt that he has ever owned(tramatized at Wal-mart for that one)....they do the first song(The Star Spangled Banner) and thru the crowd, I notice that my cute little boy(that is wearing that nice blue shirt that tramatized me at Wal-Mart), is holding the wrong hand over his heart
I lean over to my girl and tell her to look....she does....rolls her eyes, shakes her head and tells her dad
Second song went off with out a hitch....as did the third....
Then it happened....the fourth song starts and me and the girl start to wave at my cute little boy up there on that stage with his very nice blue shirt(that he will probably never wear again) that was staring at me....his dad sees that I am waving and makes mention to my girl about doing "the wave"
So, girl starts it....I see this and had to do it....his dad didn't do it....I tell the girl that we have to do it again because her dad missed it....so, we do....he missed it again....we do it a third time and he finally did it(YAY!)
I am not watching the cute little boy on the stage with the very nice blue shirt on(that will probably cost me thousands in future therapy bills) and I turn and look to see him staring at us trying so desperately not to laugh....they get to almost the end(us still doing the wave) of the song and do it one final time....and he finished it!!!!!!!!
I was so proud!....not because he finished it, but because he held out so long
