I seem to see that reaccuring theme alot; "I am the only one in this room with the training and professionalism to handle this 'BANG'! 'Augh!'"
What is so hard about unloading the gun you are getting ready to use for training before taking it in the classroom setting? A couple years ago a female police cadiate was killed, I think in GA, when her instructor shot her in this environment.
I think alot of police officers either forget about the safety practices they learn, or never learned them to begin with. I was taking a tactical handgun course last month in which several officers were students. They were saying that the only type of training that their departments gave them was putting holes in paper at a range once a year.
