I REALLY hate to admit this, because the ribbing is going to be intense, but..

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

If movie theaters still had the guy with the flashlight that tossed out folks making noise, I'd be much more open to the "movie theater experience"

I don't find uncomfortable seats, sticky floors, expensive popcorn and crying babies all that enjoyable

Watch out, you know Imax has kinda sold out. In addition to the "real" Imax theatres, Imax has gotten in bed with AMC to deliver the "Imax Experience"
What this means is that instead of a huge, 60 foot tall screen, you get one only a little bigger than a normal screen. Imax defends by saying that it stil uses Imax technology, just not 60 feet tall:)

Whats worse, is that on the Imax website, they don't differentiate. So, the Swamp Run theatres show up as Imax, even though the screen is very much smaller than a "real" Imax.

Around here, theres three I know of, the ones in the Air and Space on the Mall, the Natural History Museum, and the Air and Space out by Dulles.

Very interesting. I noticed there was an AMC theater in the IMAX mix but never really thought about the relationship. Thanks for the info.

Thanks, we'll probably go to the Air and Space Museum.

IMAX selling out is so moronic. It reminds me of when you're sitting in a sticky-floored dump of a theatre and they run the cheesy "This Cinema Delivers Dolby Digital!" promo before the feature. IMAX is just going to dilute (if not ruin) their good name with this IMAX-in-your-multiplex ploy. Who wants to pay an IMAX premium ticket price to see a movie projected on an ordinary screen with a slightly fancier projector?
