At 12:20 pm on Sunday, July 30, TFC Rossignol responded to the parking lot of Belk Department Store, California, for the reported dog locked in a vehicle. The temperature outside was 98 degrees.

This really boils my blood. As if the issue of parking in a handicapped spot was not bad enough, she went over the top with leaving the dog in the car. I say lets leave her in a sweltering vehicle and see how she copes.

It was in the news, and a topic of interest to me, therefore I will comment on it.

Perhaps this is someone you know and you are just trying to defend her. Well, if you do know her you may want to go over a little common sense with her. Summer day, 98 degrees + windows up + dog left in car = STUPIDITY and that is not even going into the handicapped issue.

OK MM....not crying about KARMA, just didn't think it was necessary for someone to "cry" about something that was in the news and gripe about my comments in the karma section. why not just reply to my post and have a debate, Just seems a bit childish to to me.

Over the last three years, Caro, a German shepherd police dog, played a key role in deterring drug-related crime in Ocean View.

But on July 21, the dog died from heat exposure, trapped inside an air-conditioned police cruiser after the engine had stalled.

Dogs can succumb to heat exposure in 10 minutes and, in some cases, less.
