Dont I feel stupid now for setting the A/C in the house at 75 for the cats while I went to Florida for the week.

In 98 Degree Heat Woman Locks Dog in Car, Parked in Handicapped Spot
California 8/3/2006

This Story Has Been Viewed 419 Times Since 8/3/2006

At 12:20 pm on Sunday, July 30, TFC Rossignol responded to the parking lot of Belk Department Store, California, for the reported dog locked in a vehicle. The temperature outside was 98 degrees.

This really boils my blood. As if the issue of parking in a handicapped spot was not bad enough, she went over the top with leaving the dog in the car. I say lets leave her in a sweltering vehicle and see how she copes.

I agree completely. Although there was no mention of whether she was handicaped and was authorized to park in the space, the fact that she received a summons the next day for animal cruilty as well as parking in a handicaped space suggests that she wasn't.

My suggestion is that she receive the maximum penelty allowed by law.

thank god she didn't leave a little baby or child.....i'd definitely go find her and bash her myself....

My wife and I have our two cats that we're always worried about when it comes to hot weather. We've lost our AC twice in the past couple years so we always consider the possibility that it may happen again. Our thurmostat is usually set between 75 and 78 degrees.

Im getting a generator installed in september that will kick on when the power drops and run the A/C or heat, the water and a few lights (to be installed on their own circuits).
Where Im at, when I lose power it can be from a few hours to a few days before they get me turned back on.

All I have to do is make sure that there is 200 gallons of fuel in the tank to run the thing for a few days or so.

I know what you mean. With 200 gallons of fuel it must be kind of expensive to run the thing. I hope nothing happens that you need it for a long time.

I could have used one when the hurricane came through here a couple years ago. I was without power for almost a week.

diesel.
it is supposed to supply power at the rate of about 1 gallon per hour under full load.
since a full load would be water running nonstop, I expect more than the 200 hours of service for the tank.

of course with my luck, it will turn out being like 10 gallons per hour at an idle.

He makes sure it's picked by people born in the USA. Me and K_Jo come over on alternating days and pick the lettuce we planted this spring in his "Garden of Feedin'" as he calls it.

I so love it when the enlightened few join in and try to show us the proper way to speak and behave; and the proper opinions to have. So why don't you just shut the fork up and go hold hands with Hillary, Jesse and Al?

You're just.....welll, unbelievable
You burden me with your questions
You'd have me tell no lies
You're always asking what it's all about
But don't listen to my replies
You say to me I don't talk enough
But when I do I'm a fool
These times I've spent, I've realized
I'm going to shoot through
And leave you

The things, you say
Your purple prose just gives you away
The things, you say
You're unbelievable

You burden me with your problems
By telling me more than mine
I'm always so concerned
With the way you say
You've always go to stop
To think of us being one
Is more than I ever know
But this time, I realize
I'm going to shoot through
And leave you

Seemingly lastless, don't mean
You can ask us
Pushing down the relative
Bringing out your higher self
Think of the fine times
Pushing down the better few
Instead of bringing out the clues
To what the world and everything anger to
Brace yourself with the grace of ease
I know this world ain't what it seems.

What the f*** was that
It's unbelievable

Excuse me?? You don't post too often therefore, are not familiar with the fact that I am the board racist. I worked hard for the title so don't get any ideas!! :eyebrow:

I'm all for the lettuce pickers. They will work for food and do the jobs our laziest Americans won't do because the liberal democrats have them all on welfare.

And I hardly ever eat lettuce btw. :yay:
