It's not a 'conspiracy' - it's business. If Bob Dylan is coming to town, I generate interest in his concert by requesting more of his music be played on local stations. The fact that you aren't explicitly TOLD this doesn't make it a conspiracy.

Same thing is true of any contest It makes sense to me, that they are interested in keeping things interesting.
