By the way all of the Interstates are worn out. The Asphalt is worn out.

I received my first one via email back in November, right after I had paid my real bill. I've also received a text one for Massachusetts. I haven't been there in several years. Not today Satan!Longer. I get them and maybe use a bridge or tunnel once a year.
As stated here by others, these seem to appear after going somewhere and having used the EZ pass.I received my first one via email back in November, right after I had paid my real bill. I've also received a text one for Massachusetts. I haven't been there in several years. Not today Satan!![]()
The real website has(d) a huge banner at the top of the saying they were fake phishing texts/emails. My guess is the bad guys got phone numbers and email addresses. My number has been used in scams before. I just tell the caller they have a wrong number. I've had it for 30+ years and won't change it now.As stated here by others, these seem to appear after going somewhere and having used the EZ pass.
I am no investigator, but doesn't that lead one to believe that either it is someone affiliated with EZ pass or someone that has hacked their site/
Why hasn't something been done about it.
I dunno. I have a transponder.I wouldn't be surprised if someone has a scanner/reader and sits on the side of the road near a toll. Doesn't even have to be a toll transponder, just have to get your license plate, assumption being you have an EasyPass, then send out a bogus email/text.
