are there any indoor play grounds or anything in the area? I need to get some studying done for the GRE's next week and that's going to be impossible with piglet and bohman in the house. is there some place fun I can ship them off to while I study?

Habittrail TFF!

I think 1 1/2 in the toddler area is asking for trouble. the bigger kids get kinda ruff playing under there. Whoever is watching them wil have to pay close attention:shrug:

The parents stay in the area with the little ones. The big kids don't want to be in there anyway.

I think you would be pretty busy with a 18 month old. The kid would have fun, but I don't think you would get much studying done :ohwell:

thanks for the suggestions. we tried out HyperSpace. Bohman played with piglet while I got some studying done. there were a few bigger ones who probably didn't belong in the little kids area but for the most part it wasn't too bad. it was a little loud but at least there I didn't have as many ready excuses to stop studying as at home (nothing to clean, no laundry to fold, etc.)

Yep, it went pretty well. Dougster and Rose were both kinda right - there was the occasional kid down there that was too big for the toddler area, but there's really nothing for a big kid to play with down there so they vacated quickly. The kid isn't really all that stable on her feet yet anyway, especially while climbing stuff, so I was right by her side at all times.

The only complaint that I have was that 2 walls of the toddler area were nothing but cinderblock. So the kids who are the most likely to trip and fall - toddlers - will run their faces into concrete if their parents aren't extremely attentive. Whose idea was that?

Then again, I did find myself marveling at the changing times. When I was elementary age, all our playground equipment was stainless steel and asphalt. So what the hell, let 'em fall a few times and they'll learn faster, right?

True dat. kids need to learn about gravity at a young age. and kids have to wear helments WTF:shrug:

what happened to having your buddy lay down in front of the plywood stacked on cinderblocks so you could see how far you could jump on your bicycle:confused:

I don't know how you could have possibly studied in that place, it's a madhouse. I could barely think strait when I went in there.

Watch it
There is not much to do at all with LITTLE kids here in the winter. One of the pitfalls to Southern Maryland in the winter- hardly anything to do indoors!!! :(
