Gal at work said she had lower back pain for many years, was also getting migraines about 2 times a week. She spoke to another coworker who suggested she try eating foods that were non-inflammatory in our bodies to reduce the amount of inflammation in her body. After a few months of eating mostly the non-inflammatory foods, her back pain went away and she doesn't get migraines anymore -wow. Of course that doesn't mean everyone will have the same results but it's certainly worth a try for people who have inflammation issues.
So I will be looking into this book she was recommended to read: The Inflammation-Free Diet Plan
I'm not so much interested in recipes as I am in the details behind what makes some foods inflammatory vs. not, and what foods are the least inflammatory. I want to know more about how all this works in our bodies.
Inflammatory Foods: 9 Of The Worst Picks For Inflammation which cites animal fats and sugar as 2 of the 9 biggest inflammation sources.
Has anyone here had any experiences with reducing the inflammatory foods? Did you notice a difference? If so, how long after you started? What percentage would you say you were in conforming to the diet? I doubt anyone was 100% (doubt I would be) so don't feel bad if you want to say 30% or 50%.
