Am I the only one having brutal connection issues today?

I've been dropping my connection about once every 10-20 minutes today... all day. I've rebooted the modem, power-cycled the modem, etc. about 20 times today.

I have had continous problems with my internet service lately - for about 2 weeks - the same thing where the connection will just die and then about 20 minutes later start workign again. They are going to drill a direct line from outside to run the modem too. That should correct the problem. I guess the signal wasnt strong enough for everything running off of it. (The modem was on a splitter w/one of the cable boxes and also have HD)

I did call and they scheduled an appointment for someone to come in the morning. At least then you only have to take 1/2 day off.

I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.
If I drop Comcast internet, then my Comcast cable rates go up because I don't have the package deal anymore.

What kind of package deal do you have?

I pay approx. 145 per month for Digital cable plus HBO and Showtime, High Def, the HD digital video recorder, 2 additional cable boxes, high speed, and modem.

I signed up for internet after I had cable. Do they offer packages all together that would give you everything at better rates?

Normally I would recommend Earthlink DSL. Usually if you can get Verizion DSL you can get Earthlink. For $10 more a month you get 2x the speed. However, I had a lot of problems with them the last 2 months and their customer service was the pits!!!!

After numerous calls and moving the modem, cordless phone, etc it finally fixed itself. Don't know what happened but it looks like all the internet providers down here are offering inferior products.

:tap: Your problem must not be that terrible if you can't get back in touch w/ me!
Did you PM me or something?

I got the problem fixed. I got Comcast to give me a new modem and it's worked wonderfully. They also gave me a DVR and lowered my monthly bill. (even though it wasn't as low as it was before they raised the rates)

First time in months that I've been happy with them.
