I was in your same position for the past 4 months...I am a single mom and I couldn't find daycare within a price that I could afford..I ended up finding daycare for $165/week in Waldorf, but 2 weeks after I started she went up on her rate to $185. She is in home and not taking infants right now, but I do have a list of phone #s for you to try. I will PM them to you! Good Luck!:howdy:

I can offer you a reduced rate for your toddler. I am a licensed provider in Waldorf and my fee is guranteed for one year. I currently am interviewing for the last two openings in my daycare program. I also offer eveing care services. You can check out my advertisement on this site or contact me at 301.843.9078. God Bless.

Childcare Network!

People who can't find what they are looking for with 'Calvert County Locate' lines try this. I ran into a few rude people that I called, but then one woman clued me in on something. She told me her house was full but that she was apart of a network that emailed out your name, price range, and number/age of children needing care. She took my info and within 2 days I had 15 voicemails telling me providers had spots within my price range. Unfortunately I don't have that woman's name anymore, but if you're willing to call a few people from the Locate, and ask if they are part of the network that emails out requests it would be worth it.

That's the Calvert County Family Day Care Association. About 90 percent of licensed family child care providers in Calvert are part of that organization. They have a website here: CCFDCA - Parent's Page

I'm in St. Mary's and I'm part of that organization because St. Mary's equivalent isn't as good. Any attempt to get them to do the same thing gets a bunch of :bs: about how they don't want to get sued.

Charles County's association used to run radio ads saying who parents could contact to find care through them, but I'm not real familiar with them.
