Injured cat lying in driveway - HELP!

meangirl

Nice lady!
Then post on here that you have her and that she is warm, someone please help!

Umm, ok... that was already done though right??

I'd have a third cat here that I have no idea how to "truly" help. I'd have heated her right up...which I have since read is the wrong thing to do. So, me stepping up to the plate probably would have killed her as I see it.

No...because just getting her off the cold, wet walkway and into a warm car is a huge improvement...and that is a start....then you call around and see who can help... I would have met you 1/2 way.....it is all about networking!!!!

I have two cats that I am very, extreme allergic to. I have to get prednisone shots here and there. ok. That is the first time INK let me know how she felt... I had posted about throwing one of them off my face in bed one night. That was back in the karma days and Ink, you let me know what you thought about that. Fine.

And the fact is that every single animal I've owned over the years, and it's been dozens, has been a cat or dog that nobody else wanted that has been left to die or procreate other unwanted animals.

I just don't act like I'm Mother Teresa because I took in some stray, and post innumerable threads about what a great person I am. I don't validate myself in that manner.

Stink, however, apparently does. And now we're supposed to bow down to her because she "rescued" some poor cat who is better off dead than living in suffering so it can feed the Stinkpen psychodrama.

I do not have your number...and did not see that anyone offered to network...
I came in from working outside all day and saw the post..and realized no one was going to help..so I did..as I would not have been able to sleep knowing an animal was out there suffering and perhaps dying and I did nothing to help.
It is called feeling compassion.

The location was on Stillwater Drive off Rt 5 just north of 231.

Here is the cat....
I call her Jingles....

She is young, has all her teeth and they are clean and not broken.
She has NO microchip.
She is a bobtail,....not an amputee.
She is a calico, about 1-2 years old.

Her body temp at 10:15pm was 97.4...normal for a cat is 101 to 102.

She is in great pain as she rewarms.

She is on heat and is covered with warm , clean blankets.

Her feet are fine, no cracks or breaks.
Her coat is beautiful, clean, no mats.
No visible wounds or abcesses.

Eyes clear and bright and responsive to light.

.........................................
I have no clue what is wrong at this point..
She needs to rewarm before I can give her fluids and meds for pain.

It is a waiting game.....

What is wrong with her foot? Or is there something on the film? The black foot looks like it is missing fur?

She looks like my girl I got from RiverRat.... 'cept she is in a chair by the fire, vetted, fixed, fed and warm just like the other 4 animals I have.

That is the thing Ink, you jumped in and blasted everyone for not doing anything when they may have the heart but they don't have the experience or maybe the just don't have the capacity and may even have a house of animals vetted, fed, warm and cared for. Some of us know we cannot save them all and if you want to get angry, direct your anger at the MF'er that left her outside in the cold.

Now, could she have been a dump and maybe in the shape she is in from the cold temp?

You are a horrifying ghoulish ##### and I hope you rot in hell in as much pain as you're putting this cat through to feed your attention whoring.

I agree with that. I have the two very spoiled cats, who I love very much. I'm sorry that I don't allow them to lay right on my face. Mickey taught me a lesson about throwing him anyway...he #### right on my computer chair.. the very place I sit without looking every day of my life.

I couldn't care less how anyone else see's it. I did what I did because I had to. Ink let me know I was wrong to throw him off my face. Mickey let me know in a much more forceful way and now we know how to interact.

Big whoop .......
I asked tes NOT to post I went for the cat...but she did..
And how do know the cat is better off dead?
What is your criteria?
Just because you are super animal momma (a hoarder???) who wants to declaw your cat...that makes you an expert on a cat you have not seen?

Interesting..you are phychic....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jameo:

I wasn't here at the time or I'd have offered to go get her. Then what?
seriously...what Ink? I feel compassion much more than I should most times I think. It still wouldn't have saved this poor kitty. Other than maybe me warming her up way too fast. :ohwell:

Maybe it's just me but I read that as a threat. Was it?

No...she say the cat is suffering..so I offered her to come and get it and take care of it as she thinks I am abusing it by treating it for hypothermia.

It's times like this that I wish there were a God and a hell for people like Stink to burn in for eternity.

And she says she's an animal rescuer, when what she really does is torment these poor creatures so that she can brag about what a wonderful person she is.
