Insomnia...

Anyone else suffer from this horrific affliction?

I've suffered from it for as long as I can remember... I wake between 3 and 5 times a night.

Although the doctor finally convinced me to take something to sleep (she's only been asking for the last 3 months I've been seeing her) and I only woke up twice last night, so it must be working.

I don't have a problem with waking up 3 and 4 times a night but I have a real problem getting to sleep. I use to lay in bed for a couple of hours. Now I just stay up and keep myself busy until I pass out. It makes it hard to get up in the morning though.

Same here. I take OTC stuff here and there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't I just stay awake and read all night.

Ambien is the bomb!! My doctor won't give it to me but I've had it before. I only took half and fell right to sleep. Not tired the next day either. :yay:

I have sleep apnea or narcolepsy or something. Going for another sleep study next week. Hope to find out soon. Sleeping while driving is a time saver though!

I don't consider it "insomnia" - I just figure I sleep when I'm tired. I'm not a huge sleeper, anyway, because I think it's a waste of time.

We're all mad here.
Ha, also note the time of this post! I'm glad it's the weekend...

You'd be surprised how much your bed/mattress influences the quality of your sleep. If I'm sleeping on something comfortable I tend to not wake in the middle of the night and feel more rested in the morning. While I don't normally have the sleep problems that you describe, I still believe that a comfy bed can be a great investment. :yay:
