Damn, did she go out and get remarried immediately after he died? Otherwise, I don't know how she can claim she's the greiving widow and demand restitution.

She was Brown's widow - the Burglar. Some women don't change their last name after they get married. I still say there's going to be a big uproar over this even though he was robbing the man's place at the time and had a record as a repeat offender. I don't know that the homeowner meant to kill him - just stop him from robbing him and running away.

Think of the money the taxpayers have saved by not having to incarcerate this felon (again!). I do feel sorry for his wife but there are consequences for every action.

I don't understand the problem here ... if you get injured in any way in the commission of any sort of crime, you/your survivors should immediately lose all rights to sue for any "damages" because you wouldn't have been hurt if you hadn't been in the situation to begin with. :shrug:

I don't feel sorry for her in the least ... she knew what she was married to and she chose that situation. Life sucks when you marry a habitual criminal. :shrug:
