You do understand that as an intern you will get the most low-level tedious jobs that they have. IE: data entry, filing and so on. I love it when I get interns, I give them the jobs I have no time for

Also if you tell them you want to take a week's vacation they probably won't go for it, because you are only summer help. Remembering the position you applied for with Bowman, and lost out because you went on vacation.

Ummm...actually, it was Bowhead, and the girl called me on a Thursday afternoon, and I told her I could come in on Monday morning b/c I had already made arrangements to fly out to Texas that Friday morning.

Also, my advisor made it clear that I can't just be making coffee and making copies of papers -- I have to do real work to get "Real World" experience.
