yes, it sucks for the owners of the businesses who will have to relocate. It's a good thing it wasn't during the day and he drove into a daycare or pet store etc and caused human or animal casualties. And no one is expressing sadness over all the clothes at the dry cleaners which are probably all damaged. If it is like most dry cleaners, they probably provided storage for people's wedding dresses and such. With all the empty, rent-able storefronts in Calvert County, all the businesses should be able to find other rental space. And with Bowen's florist closing, the florist should have no problem getting customers.

Well,

The issue I have is this guy is obviously a leech to society. From the look of his house, he's not going to have the money to reimburse these business. It will have to come out of the business property insurance. Then guess how this affects their next year's premiums and other people looking to build businesses in Cal County. There should be some mechanism (assuming) to do a lifetime ban for his license? Maybe there isn't any....

Revoking his license for life will not stop him. And the affected businesses can always raise prices of services to make up for lost revenue.

Well then.....

Those that shop there are paying a higher price due to a dumb ass.

This is why in some areas I feel there needs to be "tighter controls". Seems like there is "too much freedom"
